An Amtrak passenger train derailed Friday in the U.S. state of Nebraska, and a company spokesman said there has been no report of serious injuries.
Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari was quoted by local media as saying the train, which carried about 175 passengers, struck a vehicle on the tracks and derailed Friday morning at about eight o'clock in southwest Nebraska.
The train ran between Chicago and San Francisco, and had 10 passenger cars. The first three cars left the tracks, according to Magliari. He said there were no reports of serious injuries, but unclear if anyone aboard was hurt.
China supports the Palestinian people and their cause. We also support the Palestinians to get the United Nations recognition of a Palestinian state on the lands occupied in 1967 with Jerusalem as capital, he told TingVoa.com in Ramallah.
The envoy said peace talks with Israel are the best way to reach a settlement, adding that gaining UN recognition is not an alternative to peace negotiations.
China supports a two-state solution -- Israel and an independent Palestinian state living side-by-side in peace and security, he said, noting that he believes the current developments in the Middle East have a positive impact on the Palestinian cause.

The Middle East witnesses many changes. People have many chances to participate in political life. The Palestinian cause is a main issue that attracts the attention of the Arab people, he said.
The recent meeting of the Arab League Peace Initiative Follow- Up Committee in Qatar assures the Arabs' support to the Palestinians' bid for full UN membership, he said. This will help the Palestinians gain more international support.
The Palestinians say they will approach the UN in September to get full membership of the world body as peace talks with Israel have long been deadlocked, a move disapproved by Israel and the United States.
Wu expressed his appreciation of the reconciliation deal signed between Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party and Hamas movements in Cairo in May.
Wu said his Middle East tour was taking place at an important moment as the region is witnessing crucial changes, stressing that China respects the choices of the peoples.
The Arab peoples are able to make their own decisions toward development, said the envoy.
He also said the ties between China and the Arab countries are based on strong foundations, regardless of the changes taking place in the region.
Wu met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and other officials Tuesday, the first day of his ongoing Middle East tour.
This was Wu's second visit to Palestinian territories this year, after which he will travel on to Israel, Egypt and France.
S&P downgraded Houston's investment portfolio when its downgraded U.S. debt early this month. S&P also downgraded dozens of other municipalities with large investments in U.S. Treasury notes.
About 83 percent of Houston's 2.5 billion U.S. dollars in investment is in U.S. Treasury bonds and notes held by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other federal or quasi-federal agencies.
Is this really who we want to rate us if they're going to be that arbitrary in the rating? queried Green.
The rating only applies to Houston's investments, not its debt, so it will not affect the city's borrowing costs, Green said.
Houston was preceded by Los Angeles, which fired S&P last week after seeing its 7-billion-U.S.-dollar investment portfolio downgraded by the rating company.
Twenty-six people were injured in the collision that happened at some 65 kilometers northwest of the capital of Ljublajana, Slovenian Press Agency (STA) said in an earlier report.
Despite the heavy injuries in the collision, nobody was in critical condition, Petra Rupar, a Jesenice hospital surgeon, told reporters.
Transport Minister Patrick Vlacic said that an investigation would be kicked-off to determine the cause of the accident.
The earlier report quoted unidentified sources as saying that the train collision was caused by a rail switch malfunction.
The collision has interrupted railway transportation through Jesenice, one of Slovenia's three rail connections with neighbouring Austria.
The official told local newspaper El Watan, that 35 people have been injured, eight of them seriously, in the attacks near the entrance to the Cherchell Military Academy.
Earlier reports said one person was killed and 15 others injured in the assaults.
The blasts occurred at about 19:40 local time (1840 GMT), just 10 minutes after Iftar (fast-breaking), when two attackers detonated two bombs near the famous academy in Tipaza, some 100 km west of the capital Algiers.
A witness at the scene told TingVoa.com that the wounded have been taken to local hospitals.
The North African country has faced an increasing threat by Islamist militants since the 1990s. The security situation in Algeria has been significantly improved in recent years since the government adopted a national reconciliation policy and stepped up military strikes.
Many staff and visitors to the complex also suffered various degrees of injuries.
A competent source at the National Hospital mortuary department told TingVoa.com that eight dead bodies have been deposited, including six male and two female.
Meanwhile, sources at the Garki Hospital told TingVoa.com that two dead bodies were brought in.
The bomb which was allegedly planted in a vehicle was driven by a lone occupant through the exit gate of the UN House.
A private uniformed guard on duty was killed while a UN security staff at the gate was wounded.
The vehicle rammed into the reception area of the UN House, destroyed furniture and electronic gadgets before exploding in the middle of the huge building. Two receptionists in the building were killed instantly, a security source told TingVoa.com.
The explosion is clearly the most devastating attack witnessed so far since a series of bomb explosions were unleashed on the federal capital by the dreaded Boko Haram sect.
Rescue operation was still ongoing and the exact number of casualties is yet to be confirmed.
Standard Chartered Bank which operates within the UN building and a travel agency were also affected by the blast.
A survivor told TingVoa.com that when the explosion occurred, customers were in the bank while many would-be travellers were also in the office of the travel agency.
The Boko Haram sect on June 16 detonated explosives planted in a vehicle at the car park of the Police Headquarters in Abuja.
We noticed that the ICRC launched an appeal regarding the situation in the Horn of Africa. The Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) has decided to donate 4 million yuan (about 623,000 U.S. dollars) to the ICRC for its humanitarian aid in the region, said Hua Jianmin, president of the RCSC, while meeting with visiting ICRC President Jakob Kellenberger in Beijing on Thursday.
A donation of 2 million yuan was sent to Kenya through the country's Red Cross organization, while another 2 million went to Ethiopia. The other 4 million yuan was donated to other countries in the region.
The Chinese government has decided to provide a total of 90 million yuan (14 million dollars) in emergency food assistance to countries in the Horn of Africa.
The Red Cross Society of China is willing to work together with the International Committee for the Red Cross to meet the needs of those who have been affected (by the droughts), Hua said.
Some 12.4 million people in Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia and other countries in the region are in dire need of food due to a serious drought, the worst to hit the region since the 1980s.
